Join Our Team as a Log Management Analyst at Duke Health

We are currently seeking a skilled Log Management Analyst to enhance our Service Delivery and Production Support teams. This vital role is designed for a professional who excels in safeguarding information assets and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Log Management Duties:

• Develop and enforce enterprise-wide log management processes and standards.
• Document and maintain log management procedures, aligning them with our Information Security Office policies and ensuring clear communication across all levels of the organization.
• Create and manage a detailed inventory of systems requiring log oversight, and continuously optimize this process.
• Drive implementation and enhancements of log management tools with minimal disruption, ensuring wide adoption of best practices, especially in critical areas like vulnerability management.
• Work closely with vendors to ensure compliance with DHTS log management standards and educate internal service owners on best practices for effective log management.
• Analyze risks in collaboration with service owners to determine the necessary levels of log management and develop tailored solutions that meet these needs.
• Design and implement advanced Splunk queries, dashboards, and reports to monitor log management status enterprise-wide.
• Provide expertise and leadership in managing system security, business continuity, and disaster recovery plans according to regulatory and organizational standards.

Qualifications

Education: BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.

Experience: 5-10 years in a technical role with significant exposure to log management and vulnerability management systems, preferably within a healthcare or academic medical center setting. Proficient knowledge of Splunk is highly desired.

Skills: Strong leadership capabilities, strategic planning, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects autonomously.
