Job Title: Junior Data Analyst - ESG Data

Overview

ISS ESG offers deep expertise across a full spectrum of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues. We collaborate with leading asset owners and managers to integrate Responsible Investment (RI) into long-term value creation through market insights and expert analysis.

Responsibilities

• Conducting both basic and advanced desk research on companies' management of environmental and social risks.
• Complying with international norms on responsible business conduct.
• Staying updated on ESG trends and issues, acquiring knowledge specific to various industries.
• Addressing internal and client queries, ensuring data alignment with methodology and policy guidelines.
• Adhering to established work processes and maintaining data quality.
• Meeting pre-determined turnaround times for assignments.
• Escalating data interpretation issues when necessary.
• Performing root-cause analysis for identified data issues.
• Updating internal documents for performance metrics monitoring.
• Participating in working committees/projects beside core responsibilities.
• Maintaining necessary paper and electronic files as per ISS and client file retention policies.

Qualifications

• Post-Graduation in Finance or Economics.
• Experience in data collection and analysis, with knowledge in ESG and business research being an advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Excellent English communication skills (both oral and written).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work under tight deadlines.
• Fast learner with the ability to master new concepts and processes.
• Willingness to work beyond traditional hours/days as required by the business.
