THE ROLE
The Junior Data Analyst reports to the Head of Data Science and is accountable for the implementation of simple to intermediate analytical demands, acting as a liaison between stakeholders with analytical needs and the team executing those requests.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Implement business analytical needs as interactive data reports.
- Guide stakeholders in defining results and managing their expectations about delivery scope and timeframe.
- Evaluate data availability and quality by defining initial metrics and conducting exploratory data analysis, ensuring that before implementation, the requirements are well synchronized, data availability and quality are checked thoroughly.
- Attract proactive discussions with stakeholders to clarify demands and collaborate with the data engineering team closely, ensuring data availability and quality.
Requirements
- You are passionate about data analytics or science and have some professional or academic experience in this field.
- You have basic Python skills to manipulate pandas dataframes, create visualizations, construct Jupyter notebooks, or develop interactive data apps (Hex notebooks or similar).
- Intermediate knowledge of SQL for data analytics. Skills include writing clear, concise SQL queries, using CTAs, cases, aggregations, window functions, joins, working with nested fields, and proficient usage of SQL documentation.
- You have exploratory data analysis skills to check the availability and quality of data in data warehouses/data lakes.
- You have an analytical mindset, with high standards for the quality of outputs, and reverse-engineering/debugging skills for cross-checking and validating the accuracy of the produced analysis.
- You exhibit proactive project management skills, with the ability to guide the formulation of requests, manage requestors' expectations, and handle multiple projects simultaneously, equipped with excellent coordination and follow-up abilities.
