We're excited to offer a unique opportunity for a skilled L4 Data Scientist to become a part of our innovative Customer & Channel Insights team within TELUS Consumer Service (TCS). Our collaborative team leverages extensive data and analytics, supporting over 15,000 global team members and utilizing insights from more than 12 million customer interactions annually. These insights fuel our Frontline Performance (FLP) Tool and Customer Feedback solutions, enhancing decision-making processes within our Contact Centre and Field Operations.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing and developing our next-generation Business Intelligence (BI) platform on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using cutting-edge technologies such as SQL, Python, BigQuery, Looker, and GitHub.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and produce visual representations, dashboards, and reports, ensuring high-quality, accurate data analysis to optimize future goals while providing immediate operational insights.
• Creatively visualize and communicate data findings in various formats to enlighten and inform the organization.
• Promote and embed a data-driven culture to influence business strategies and opportunities.
• Strengthen relationships with key stakeholders to align on business needs and priorities, ensuring robust data support.
• Provide expert support for the deployment of product enhancements and upgrades.
• Work collaboratively with team members, including developers, testers, and Business Analysts, to ensure seamless operation of business-required services.
• Utilize your problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues, restore services swiftly, and aid in determining their root causes.

Qualifications

What You Bring

• 5-7+ years of experience in a Data Scientist or similar role, adept in SQL, Python, and storytelling with Tableau.
• A Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Advanced knowledge of Looker Suite including LookML, Looker Studio, and Looker Explore.
• Expertise in data management, visualization techniques, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling.
• Proven project management skills, capable of leading projects from inception to completion.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
• Highly motivated, creative, independent, with a proven ability to thrive under pressure.
