At National Grid, a pivotal company in delivering energy, we are actively seeking a Lead Data Analyst to join our dynamic NY Electric Integrated Planning & Portfolio Management Department. Job Purpose

The primary role of the Lead Data Analyst is to provide expert support to our Electric Capital Portfolio. This includes crafting strategic approaches and coordinating with stakeholders to efficiently execute and monitor annual plans, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and support the NY Electric Capital Portfolio’s strategic and calibration processes monthly.
  • Participate in crucial regulatory and financial reporting tasks such as QRF submissions and variance reports.
  • Guarantee data integrity across various platforms like Powerplan, STORMS, and SAP, among others.
  • Collaborate with departments like Project Management and Asset Management to align project forecasts with fiscal guidelines.
  • Develop, track, and enhance KPIs that align with strategic organizational goals.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and development within the team, enhancing resource management and workflow optimization.
  • Provide analytical support for internal strategic initiatives, adapting processes as necessary to meet evolving demands.
  • Offer training and developmental support to new team members and enhance the tool-design skills of current analysts.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Over 7 years of experience in financial reporting or a relevant field, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting. MBA preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various software including SAP, Powerplan, STORMS, and familiarity with Business Intelligence reporting.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • In-depth understanding or strong interest in the operations of the electric business.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Salary and Benefits

$103,000 - $121,000 per year, with a career path that offers advancement based on performance and gained expertise.
