Lead of Test Team – Space Communication Solutions

Within the next decade, NASA, along with governments and commercial entities worldwide, aims to establish a new lunar economy for sustainable exploration on the Moon. High bandwidth, reliable connectivity, and communication are crucial components in making this ambition a reality. Future lunar missions requiring HD video, robotics, sensing applications, telemetry, biometrics, and astronaut-to-astronaut voice communications will need the advanced capabilities that cellular networks can provide. This is why NASA selected Nokia Bell Labs to deploy the first 4G/LTE network on the Moon to test lunar surface communications for future applications.

We embrace this challenge: to deploy a network that will operate under the most extreme conditions imaginable, autonomously with self-healing capabilities, pushing the boundaries of communication technology, and enabling the exploration and settlement of other moons and planets. Are you up to the mission?
