We are seeking a Logistics Management Analyst to control the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between the point of origin through customer placement to meet customer requirements. This role ensures that customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints to meet marketing and financial objectives. You will facilitate the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes, including the replenishment system, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration, and related functions. Building relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives is also a key aspect of this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in HII/Government meetings.
  • Receive procurement requests and coordinate with HII and government engineers to understand the technical aspects of the procurement.
  • Verify accurate ordering of material/equipment and supporting options.
  • Develop justifications for each procurement action, as required.
  • Work with Program Managers and Project Controllers to verify funding availability for procurements.
  • Coordinate with HII’s procurement department and vendors to track delivery schedules.
  • Keep the PM and Customer informed on delivery schedules.
  • Coordinate the receiving and delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Draft inspection and receiving reports.
  • Coordinate Government Acceptance via DD Form 250.
  • Submit receiving reports to HII receiving.
  • Verify procurement invoices are processed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or High School Diploma/equivalent with 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong customer service experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets and/or similar organizational tools.
  • Experience with MATLAB and/or Python.
  • Understanding of database interaction and schema design.

Physical Requirements:

This job typically requires minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.
