Job Description:

Our Digital Service Line is seeking seasoned "Machine Learning Engineer" professionals with hands-on experience. The selected candidate should possess the ability to analyze technical needs and collaborate with customers to develop project scope of work documents and Project Plans. Although the responsibilities are primarily technical, a strong functional understanding of the business process is also crucial.

Your Role:

As a Machine Learning Engineer focusing on LLM and GenAI products, you will be responsible for the design, development, and deployment of LLM and GenAI platform features at a production-grade level. You will work closely with data scientists, platform engineers, cloud engineers, and architects in feature realization, prototyping, engineering, and industrialization.

Features you will work on may include data connectors to public or proprietary databases, access to LLMs (open-source in-house hosted or external SaaS APIs), tools with custom logic, and/or agents that collectively offer scalable and reliable engines capable of operating within a microservice architecture. You will function within agile design and delivery cycles, informing and influencing our reference platform architecture with feedback based on your first-hand experience.

The ideal candidate is proficient in emerging technologies, platforms, and applications, and has the ability to customize them to enhance our business's security and efficiency. Your contributions will make a lasting impact on our customers and organization, elevating LLM and GenAI product strategy to the next level.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the design, development, and production-grade deployment of AI, ML, and/or NLP applications focusing on unstructured or multi-modal data.
• Experience with cloud-native AI services offered by AWS (preferred) and/or Azure.
• Proficiency with LLM application development frameworks such as Langchain, LlamaIndex, Haystack, or Semantic Kernel is highly desired.
• Strong understanding of good API design practices, containerization, microservices, and deployment with container orchestration services such as AWS ECS or Kubernetes.
• Experience with version control (git), automated testing, continuous integration, and deployment.
• Experience with open-source or proprietary vector databases such as FAISS, Quadrant, or Pinecone is important. Experience with cloud-based semantic search engines like Azure Cognitive Search and/or AWS Kendra is a plus.
• Familiarity with MLOps or FMOps frameworks and hands-on experience with deployment and lifecycle management of AI/ML/NLP models.
• Proficiency with advanced prompt engineering techniques like ReAct, Chain-of-Thought, etc., is a plus.
• Experience with popular libraries for Transformers such as HuggingFace, SparkNLP, and ability to fine-tune models leveraging adapter-based techniques.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and proficiency in English.
