Role Overview: Master Data Specialist
As a Master Data Specialist within our Supply Chain function, you will coordinate the planning and implementation of master data changes under the remit of the Wrexham Master Data team and the broader data maintenance organization. Your efforts will support the delivery of site goals through timely master data changes, provide an effective interface between the Wrexham Master Data team, global partners, and the business (Customers), and promote excellence through continuous improvement of robust master data management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure master data changes are agreed upon with the assigned data owner in accordance with site procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to provide proficiency for all aspects of master data management.
- Understand the context of data management in the Order Fulfillment process and the operational impact of changes.
- Maintain clear direction and focus within the data team and the broader data management organization.
- Lead changes to working practices and work flexibly in response to business needs.
- Lead sub-streams of the annual master data review process and contribute to maintaining standards (e.g., standard costs).
- Coordinate LIMS and Pharmasuite Master Data-related activities.
- Create/modify derivation and batch determination rules.
- Implement and support process improvements using Operational Excellence principles.
- Meet project milestones related to SeaVision, iSAP, and LIMS systems.
- Lead intermediate-level complex problem-solving.
Key Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a Master Data role, particularly within Supply Chain, is highly advantageous.
- Demonstrable knowledge in the use of ERP systems (preferably SAP) and LIMS.
- Clear understanding of Master Data management processes and the impact of changes.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to plan ahead, prioritize tasks, prepare for change implementation, and manage relationships effectively.
- Strong communication skills across all formats.
- Ability to coordinate and execute Master Data changes.
- Appreciation for and willingness to adopt Lean Six Sigma/OE methodologies to continuously seek process improvements.
