✨Role of Metadata Engineer at Dataedo:

The Metadata team is our internal Research & Development department that's responsible for the research, development, and maintenance of metadata connectors. We work on importing metadata from various technologies (databases, data formats, ETLs, BI tools, analytical platforms, etc.), and processing technologies (e.g., SQL parsing, data pattern detection).

A large part of an engineer's work involves researching new technologies and design. But that's not all. This is where ideas for new functionalities for Dataedo are born. Part of the team participates in meetings with clients, helping them better understand our application. We also create technological content and documentation. This means your path within the Metadata team can go in various directions. However, the basis will always be working with database technologies and data processing.

🎯 AS a Metadata Engineer YOU WILL:

• Conduct research and familiarize yourself with various relational databases, no-SQL databases, big data technologies, cloud platforms, and BI tools
• Prepare test data structures and environments
• Find ways to retrieve metadata from data sources (tables, columns, constraints, etc.)
• Create queries to retrieve metadata from different databases
• Test connectors
• Write technical documentation
• Learn a lot - about our product and various databases and data sources
• Have the opportunity to combine your R&D work with: creating technical content, customer support and sales processes, product management

☝️ You're an ideal candidate if:

• You understand how relational databases, data structures, and SQL work
• You understand basic concepts: no-SQL databases, big data technologies, Hadoop, BI tools
• You can handle technical documentation in English
• You are open to learning new things
• You communicate effectively - you can interact with the team, present the results of your research and ensure good cooperation
• You speak Polish fluently - our Metadata and Development teams are Polish-speaking

📅 What does the recruitment process look like?
