Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a dedicated Performance Data Engineer to join our USPS program in Raleigh, NC. This role is pivotal in supporting and maintaining the integrity of our data warehouses through expert design, construction, and oversight. As a Performance Data Engineer, you will:

• Develop and implement data strategy methods.
• Maintain a robust metadata repository.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity through comprehensive testing and verification methods.
• Code, document, and manage scripts and stored procedures for data handling.
• Handle index creation and view scripts independently while supporting high-visibility or mission-critical programs.

Day-to-Day Duties

• Independently perform all functional duties.
• Lead the efforts of direct reporting resources or manage staff assigned to specific projects.
• Contribute to major program objectives with high visibility.

Qualifications for the Role

To be successful in this role, you need:

• A Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of experience, a Master’s degree with 3 years, or a high school diploma/GED with 9 years of experience.
• U.S. Citizenship with a minimum of five years' residency in the U.S. and limited international travel.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Proficiency in Teradata Optimizer and SQL optimization.
• Experience with UNIX and Linux Shell scripting.
• Familiarity with Ab Initio for data extraction, transformation, and loading.

Salary and Benefits

For the Performance Data Engineer position, the target salary range is $86,000 to $138,000, depending on experience, education, and other factors.
