About the Role

We are currently seeking a Principal Business Intelligence Developer to join our expanding SMART Analytics platform. This year, we aim to enhance our existing dashboards and integrate advanced features powered by machine learning and AI.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting requirements analysis to identify deficiencies, ambiguities, and outstanding questions
• Clearly distinguishing between business requirements, design, and implementation constructs
• Adhering to established software patterns and development processes
• Writing concise unit tests with appropriate code coverage
• Documenting, communicating steps to reproduce and workarounds for bugs
• Identifying gaps in requirements, design, development, testing, and support processes
• Delivering tested code efficiently with minimal bugs
• Performing code and design reviews to identify weaknesses in software solutions
• Demoing application features and fixes with product management and users
• Providing advice to the software quality assurance team for regression testing efforts
• Communicating component designs with appropriate detail and minimal iterations
• Identifying missing and unnecessary test cases
• Implementing architectural improvements and performing use case analysis
• Estimating development efforts based on detailed design
• Collaborating with team members for effective overall designs
• Delivering component isolation for troubleshooting and support coding
• Proposing improvements in design, development, testing, and support processes
• Adhering to organizational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Establishing and enforcing departmental standards
• Participating in the modification of company SOPs related to software engineering

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with:

• Bachelor’s Degree (strongly preferred)
• 3-5+ years of software development experience in Tableau (Power BI experience preferred)
• Experience with SQL queries, especially in Snowflake and AWS environments
• Experience with clinical trials and/or pharmaceutical environments (preferred)
• Knowledge of the drug development process including FDA requirements for GxPs and 21 CFR Part 11
• Proven problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Strong commitment to service and product excellence
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong documentation and organizational skills
• Professional and positive attitude
