The Principal, Data Engineer will assist the expansion and optimization of our real-time data and real-time data pipeline architecture. They will optimize data flow and collection in collaboration with cross-functional teams. The Principal, Data Engineer will also work on designing and developing algorithms or technical solutions to meet product requirements. The ideal candidate is an experienced real-time data pipeline builder and data wrangler who loves optimizing data systems for sub-second latency requirements and building them from scratch. This role may also share responsibility with other team members for proper documentation of each system change request and ensuring thorough testing, adequate change control, and training before moving changes into production. This position will support business teams in adopting, promoting, and supporting Ingram Micro's capabilities. It will additionally contribute to continuous improvement initiatives concerning data-based business solutions and business self-service. Your responsibilities will include data flow design and implementation; employing your skills in designing, developing and delivering world-class data algorithmic artifacts; supporting business decisions with ad hoc analysis; mastering third-party systems and interfaces; and efficient implementation of clean, maintainable, and testable data solutions. People Skills required include demonstrating a commitment to a high-performance environment, understanding, adhering to, and following Ingram Micro's policies and values. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a relevant Science and Math disciplines with an IT emphasis and 8+ years of relevant technical experience, including 5+ years of experience with real-time data manipulation. The typical base pay range for this role is USD $112,000.00 - $190,400.00 per year. However, the actual pay range will depend on various factors, such as the complexity and responsibility of the role, job duties/requirements, relevant experience, and skills.
