We are on the hunt for a Principal Robotics Engineer to enhance our Mobile Robotics Control team. Ideal candidates are inventive, team-oriented individuals who excel in agile environments. Role Contributions

What you will do
As a Principal Robotics Control Engineer, you will:

  • Lead the design, development, and testing of control algorithms for mobile robot case handling tasks focusing on navigation and manipulation.
  • Drive the delivery of robotic control software within a diverse team of experts.
  • Become a subject matter expert in sensor fusion estimation techniques and control algorithms for autonomous operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and product teams to shape the planning, design, and enhancement of new and existing features.
  • Ensure the quality, reliability, and testability of the software codebase.
  • Address system problems in production or design by tackling issues related to product performance or production difficulties.
  • Identify risks and engineer solutions that contribute to successful customer deliveries and system performance enhancements.
  • Travel up to 10% may be required.

What we're looking for

What you will need

  • A Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, Aerospace, or related discipline.
  • 8-12 years of proven experience in the development of algorithms for mobile robot localization, navigation, and manipulation.
  • Track record of delivering robotics software products deployed in real-world environments.
  • Proficiency in C++ Embedded coding and design patterns, ideally in real-time environments.
  • Understanding of real-time or embedded operating systems, including threading and communication issues associated with such environments.
  • Familiarity with software process and version control tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain and teach technical concepts.
