We invite you to start your career journey with us as a Procurement Data Analyst Intern. This role is based at our North American Headquarters in Edmonton, Alberta, available for a 4-month term starting September 2024.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Under direct supervision, you will contribute to our team by:

• Translating business needs into actionable production reports and dashboards.
• Participating in advanced analytics projects.
• Ensuring business requirements are met through effective liaison with business, technology, and support teams.
• Evaluating the effectiveness of implemented solutions and employing appropriate measurement methods.
• Creating and maintaining essential process and system documentation.
• Assisting with quality assurance and system testing.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

Candidates should be currently enrolled in fields related to computing science, information management, statistics, or a business program with an emphasis on data analytics or operations research. Additionally, an ideal candidate will bring:

• A keen interest in inventory, distribution practices, and data management related to business intelligence and analytics.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to quickly adapt to new software.
• Effective teamwork and multitasking abilities.
• Experience in data visualization tools like Power BI (preferred).
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL, and programming languages such as Python and R (preferred but not required).
