What You'll Do

As a Quality Associate Developer / Specialist Developer, you will join a team of dedicated experts, including AI developers, AI scientists, data engineers, dev-ops engineers, and architects. Together, we aim to build top-tier AI products. Your success will be measured by your ability to deliver solutions that match the performance of leading artificial intelligence systems.

Your tasks will include:

• Defining quality and test strategies for cloud and machine learning-based products, respecting defined process- and product standards.
• Analyzing, defining, implementing, and executing quality and test-related activities as per the quality and test strategy.
• Creating detailed test designs, including test system landscape definition and product standards, preparing tests (customizing & master data), authoring, and executing manual and/or automated tests.
• Analyzing test results and taking appropriate follow-up actions.
• Acting as a subject matter expert for the team in quality assurance and test-related processes, methods, and tools.
• Initiating process or tool improvements.
• Developing proficient product domain knowledge, including relevant business processes & scenarios, and understanding customer needs.
• Acquiring knowledge about product and process standards, important legal requirements, and quality assurance and test-related tools.
• Developing proficiency in relevant programming languages and related development tools and processes.
• Gaining knowledge of the software development life cycle and Quality Assurance methodologies.
• Analyzing complex integration issues.
• Working with global teams across different time zones.

What You'll Need

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 0 to 3 years of working experience as a Quality Associate, preferably in AI-focused cloud application development.
• A solid foundation in computer science, strong competencies in algorithms, data structures, object-oriented programming, design patterns, multi-threaded programming, and software design principles.
• Hands-on knowledge of server/client-side programming languages such as Java, Scala, Go, Python, C#, C++.
• Experience using source control tools like GIT.
• Experience setting up CI processes using tools like Jenkins or GitLab.
• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit, nUnit, Xunit, Jasmine, etc.
• Experience in API Testing.
• Excellent written and communication skills in English.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• A strong desire to overcome obstacles and positively impact SAP's customers.

Great to Have

• Experience with build automation tools (Maven, Gradle, Shell scripting).
• Experience with UI testing tools and technologies such as Cucumber, Selenium, Robot Framework.
• Experience using performance testing tools like JMeter.
• Knowledge of XML and web services testing (REST or SOAP).
• Operational knowledge of Linux distributions such as Redhat, Ubuntu, SUSE.
