Key Responsibilities

As a Research Engineer at Reality Labs, you will:

  • Develop cutting-edge Deep Learning models focusing on Computer Vision and EMG signal processing.
  • Build tools and infrastructure to manage and utilize multimodal data sets.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team to pioneer the next generation of EMG-based AR/VR interaction techniques.
  • Guide research directions that integrate practical engineering constraints to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Support the transition of experimental research into tangible products.
  • Optimize machine learning methods for high-performance computing environments including GPU and distributed clusters.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Proven experience in developing scalable machine learning models from concept to impact.
  • Strong research background and programming skills in Python, with experience in frameworks like PyTorch.
  • Familiarity with architectural patterns of large-scale software applications.
  • Eligibility for work authorization in the job’s country of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in a relevant field with publications indicating deep expertise in AI.
  • Documented experience in translating research into user-ready products.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping and structured software development.
