What You Will Do

As a Research Scientist at Meta, you will:

• Lead and collaborate on pioneering research in large language models.
• Design and conduct experiments, write code, run evaluations, and synthesize findings.
• Work alongside a large, globally distributed team.
• Contribute to significant publications and open-source projects.
• Define long-term ambitious goals and set achievable milestones.
• Focus research efforts to enhance Meta’s product development.
• Provide mentorship within the team and foster a collaborative environment.

What We Need

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
• PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, or related technical fields.
• Proven experience in industry, academic, or government research roles.
• Strong publication record in machine learning.
• Coding proficiency and hands-on experience with large AI models and datasets.
• Eligibility to work in the country of employment at hiring and maintaining work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Expertise in generative AI and large language model research.
• Over two years of related work experience.
• First author in papers at major AI conferences.
• Development and troubleshooting skills in Python.

Compensation:

Salary range: US$117,000 to US$173,000/year, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
