About the Internship

The FAIR team focuses on cutting-edge research in fields such as Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Computer Vision. Internship opportunities range from twelve (12) to twenty-four (24) weeks, with flexible start dates throughout the year. This role will empower you to:

• Conduct impactful research on data semantics across multiple modalities including text, audio, and visuals.
• Collaborate on brainstorming sessions, perform literature reviews, and design novel, impactful AI solutions.
• Implement prototypes and validate your innovative solutions through experiments and analysis.
• Contribute to Meta’s groundbreaking products through practical application of your research findings.
• Document and present your research achievements internally and externally.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Applicants must be currently pursuing or already holding a PhD in areas related to Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, or Artificial Intelligence, and possess:

• Proven experience in Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning, including familiarity with Python, C++, or similar programming languages.
• A strong track record of impactful results as evidenced by publications in top conferences (e.g., ACL, EMNLP) or significant contributions to open source projects.
• Experience with advanced AI techniques in areas like Machine Translation, Speech Recognition, or Computer Vision is highly desirable.
• Capability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and excellent communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits
