About the Role

As a Research Scientist Manager in Generative AI, you'll spearhead our efforts to develop Meta AI. This pivotal position involves leading the evolution of AI across Meta’s platforms, including chat applications and the innovative Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses. You'll be at the forefront, enhancing usability, improving model quality, and venturing into new domains to build a more personalized, capable, and omnipresent assistant.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and mentor a team of experts in the Language Foundation of Generative AI.
• Shape the technical vision and strategic direction for the team and broader organization.
• Lead the creation of essential models and systems to enhance end-user experiences.
• Enhance collaboration across functions to ensure alignment and facilitate cross-functional projects.
• Stay updated on software developments within the team to assist in technical and design decisions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Proven experience in achieving significant product impacts in dynamic environments.
• Over 5 years in NLP, LLM, and Transformer modeling in both research and engineering contexts.
• At least 3 years managing and supporting software engineering or research teams.
• Demonstrated ability to envision the future of generative AI.
• Hands-on experience developing large-scale AI services and performing cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in AI, deep learning, or a closely related field.
• Proficiency in ML frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow, and experience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain.
