About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Semiconductor Virtualization & Performance Evaluation Manager to lead a highly technical team. Your expertise will include semiconductor virtualization, performance modeling and prediction, and code optimization. You will be responsible for executing strategies to deliver virtual semiconductor models, analytical and simulation models, and advanced technologies for performance prediction and optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement performance measurement methodologies to benchmark and analyze MCU/SoC based system performance with cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with software and system design teams to profile critical workloads for CPU, GPU, NPU, memory, and other subsystems' performance and power consumption.
- Develop representative benchmarks for critical workloads and capture simulation performance data.
- Set up evaluation platforms and measure various aspects of system performance under different application workloads.
- Collect and analyze performance data from software applications, derive insights, and present findings.
- Identify hardware and software performance bottlenecks and work with teams to resolve integration issues.
- Run and analyze workloads on simulators and prototype devices.
- Document results, identify areas for improvement, and manage a team of skilled semiconductor engineers and technical specialists.

Qualifications
Required
- BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in automotive design, with over 5 years in areas such as CPU microarchitecture, automotive software application development, performance evaluation, and software integration.
- Strong proficiency with performance analysis tools and Linux administration.
- Experience programming in C, C++, System C, Python, Verilog, VHDL, etc.
- Knowledge of RTOS, AUTOSAR, Linux, QNX, and software integration with AUTOSAR, RTOS, BSP.
- Understanding of bare metal environments for software development and analysis/debug tools like TRACE32, Momentics, PyPAPI, Linux Kernel Utility, ARM PMU.
- Familiarity with MCU/SoC development boards and system drivers.
- Strong understanding of CPU, GPU, NPU architectures and GPU APIs.
- Exceptional collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Proven track record of leading projects to completion.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly.
Preferred
- Master’s/Ph.D. degree in Engineering.
- Deep knowledge of System/Hardware/Software architectures for safety-critical automotive systems.
- 5+ years of experience with major automotive IDMs, vendors, and fabs.
- Experience with high performance x86 processors, ARM systems, ISP technologies, and GPU/NPU for AI applications.
Compensation & Benefits
Schedule: Hybrid Ways of Working
Recruitment Salary Range: $107,500 - $150,000
The total compensation package includes a target bonus and a comprehensive range of benefits, including medical/health, 401(k) eligibility, and various paid time off benefits. Specific details will be provided upon a job offer. Employment at JLR is at-will.
