Job Description

At Syngenta, we believe each employee has a part in safely feeding the world and caring for our planet. To bolster this effort, our Vendor Data Management team is currently on the lookout for a Data Management Senior Analyst based in Nampa, Idaho.

Role Purpose

  • Provide knowledge and insight on data collection and analysis technicalities to the Americas QC Operation team
  • Develop and support digital tools such as macros, databases, and automation to streamline Operation team tasks
  • Maintain collaboration and actively engage in interactions with Quality data analysts from other regions
  • Take an active role in implementing newly designed SAP and Fiori functionalities
  • Help in identifying and resolving digital problems and processing them through IT
  • Work alongside Quality Master Data to implement automation and SAP functionality

Responsibilities

  • Develop and retain technical expertise in data collection and analysis by understanding all Operations activities
  • Confer with stakeholders about tool and data needs for developing new reports or automation
  • Ability to analyze complex data, prepare thorough reports and presentations, and ensure follow-up
  • Provide inputs regarding achievements, deliverables, quality issues, etc. for monthly reporting to the manager
  • Be able to communicate data analysis, concepts, and opinions to a general audience assertively and influence others through rational persuasion
  • Represent the department in project teams, or may lead projects within the function
  • Deliver training and technical advice to other QC Operations personnel
  • Continually enhance operational data processes. Collaborate with your colleagues and their teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement
  • Participate in cross-regional networks to identify best practices and drive continuous improvements across Syngenta QC laboratories
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of testing methods and technologies to ensure meaningful data analysis for each group
  • Microsoft VBA / macro / coding knowledge
  • Database / “big data” knowledge

  • Willingness to travel globally (approximately 5% of the working time) to collaborate with QC Operations in other regions

Preferred Requirements

  • BS in computer science, data science, or related field or equivalent experience 6 years in a related field.
