Senior Backend / Data Engineer

Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain high-quality backend systems and data solutions Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement backend requirements Identify and solve performance and scalability problems Enhance data storage and retrieval procedures Implement and maintain data processing pipelines Stay current with industry trends and best practices Provide technical guidance to junior team members and mentor them Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar field At least 5 years of experience in backend or data engineering positions Tech Environment: Snowflake, AWS (EC2, Route53, S3), Twilio, Microstrategy Knowledge of modern serverless stacks offered by AWS, Azure, or Google GitHub repositories Responsibilities include Database design, metadata management, access tools, data ingestion, ETL, optimizing query performance, efficiently processing 100-200K records Proficiency in working on BI environments using Snowflake Solid grasp of backend frameworks and technologies (e.g., Node.js, Django, Flask) Experience with database design and development (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL) Proficiency in deploying and managing cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Solid communication and collaboration skills Experience with Agile software development methodologies Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
