Job Summary

We are looking for an energetic Senior Business Data Analyst to join our team. This role involves identifying business intelligence, reporting, and data analysis needs for AIG. You will work closely with Business and Technical teams to transform data into crucial information and knowledge, enabling sound business decisions.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Senior Business Data Analyst, your key responsibilities will include:

• Building an understanding of the business to identify and address critical issues.
• Collaborating with clients to determine business requirements and priorities, define key performance indicators (KPI), and support an ongoing BI & Data Warehouse strategy.
• Engaging with business and development teams to design and document dashboards, alerts, and reports.
• Providing project leadership, including facilitating requirements gathering and presenting findings to all levels of management.
• Conducting analysis of functional business processes and requirements, and driving the development of user stories as a member of an Agile Scrum Team.
• Educating and training clients to use data as an analytical tool, displaying information for analysis with exploration options.
• Providing guidance and support to junior-level peers.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS Degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and progressive experience.
• 5+ years of Business Data Analyst experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to research complex data-oriented problems.
• Proactive and results-driven attitude with a positive, can-do mindset.
• Experience working in a team environment, especially in distributed teams.

Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years of Commercial Insurance experience required.
• Financial principles experience preferred.
• Agile Product Owner experience.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Visio.
