Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Business Data Analyst, MDM – SAP to join our team amid a time of unprecedented expansion. In this role, you will perform crucial tasks in maintaining data accuracy and integrity within the Master Data team. The job encompasses a broad spectrum of data governance tasks, from creating and maintaining documents, workflows, templates to documenting intricate processes about master data setup and updates. Skilled in extracting data from SAP GUI Tables for reporting, you will use your analytical skills to provide vital insights. Your meticulous attention to detail and dedication to excellence will drive the enhancement of our data management practices, facilitate informed decision-making, and boost efficiency within the Master Data team.
A typical day at work involves:
- Overseeing master data records within SAP systems to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established standards and policies
- Providing process enhancement and data governance improvement suggestions based on audit findings
- Leading the development of ticket tracking tools like Jira to manage incoming requests within the Master Data team
- Working with various departments to understand their master data needs, checking data quality, and correcting any inaccuracies
- Creating reports and insights from the material master in SAP for different teams
- Offering training and support to SAP users on master data entry and best practices
- Performing data migration tasks during SAP implementations
- Working with SAP support to solve technical issues related to master data management and identifying the root causes to prevent reoccurrence
Qualifications
We're looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- 2 years of experience in SAP reporting, workflows, and template building
- 4 years of experience with emphasis on SAP MDM
- Proficiency in managing and maintaining master data records in SAP
- Ability to create and maintain data models defining the structure and relationships of master data elements in the MDM system
- Knowledge of data integration techniques and tools
- Familiarity with data governance practices, policies, and frameworks
- Understanding of the business processes that rely on master data
- Strategic thinking skills and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to work seamlessly with different teams to achieve common goals
- Experience in planning and executing data management projects
