You will belong to a growing Business Intelligence team within the central Tech organization, supporting operations across the EU. You will play the role of a leader and mentor to your colleagues. We are looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to establish and provide high-quality, structured reporting, analytics, and models for the Air, Surface Transportation and Sortation, and other support teams in the transportation sector in Europe. You will play a key role in shaping our strategic innovation program by providing project teams with insights into operation performance. As a key figure on our team, you will mentor Business Intelligence Engineers technically, and offer comprehensive knowledge in all discussions – the team will come to you for advice on data architectures and business challenges. You will have an impact on your team's technical and business strategies by providing valuable inputs to team priorities and approaches. The role requires you to be comfortable working with and communicating with other functional teams, both regionally and globally. You will report to a Senior Manager, working closely with their larger project team. Key responsibilities: - Manage a skilled team of Business Intelligence Engineers to achieve its goals and development potential. - Define and manage a long-term vision and portfolio of Business Intelligence Products to improve the customer experience and business results by creating world-class data infrastructure and enabling data-driven automatic solutions and business insights. - Perform analysis of business requirements and translation into technical requirements. Independently realize requirements for Business Intelligence and custom software development products. Design, develop and maintain scalable, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, and more, to support our analytical and business needs. - Lead the design, development, and management of our analytical tools and reporting. Provide thought leadership and business analysis support as needed. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong business acumen, experience in developing reporting and analytical infrastructures, strong communication skills, an ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, and an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. We are open to hiring candidates to work out of Barcelona, B, ESP. Basic Qualifications: - 5+ years of SQL experience - Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets - Experience with the theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results - Experience with AWS technologies - Experience in scripting for automation (e.g., Python) and advanced SQL skills. - Experience with the theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning, and data mining - Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs - Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools - Experience in the data/BI space Preferred Qualifications: - Experience managing, analyzing, and communicating results to senior leadership Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
