Senior Cloud Data Warehouse Platform Developer - Ørsted

In this role, you will provide modern, customer-centric, innovative, and reliable data products to support the growth trajectory of our organisation. You'll work hands-on with onboarding data, building data models, and making these models available for consumption. Alongside this, you'll transform your knowledge from these activities into easily deployable and automated data products.

At Ørsted Data Ecosystem, you’ll be part of the Data Warehouse team responsible for developing and operating our cloud data warehouse products. Our data ecosystem includes several teams that provide fundamental data capabilities across our organisation, such as data lake, streaming, cloud data warehousing, and data management. You’ll collaborate across these teams to offer fully deployable and integrable data products, ensuring the best-in-class technical cloud setup. Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimising and ensuring smooth operations of existing data warehouse on AWS and Azure
  • Proposing patterns and best practices for ‘ingestion to consumption’ data warehouse products
  • Performing PoCs on cloud-agnostic data warehousing technologies
  • Migrating current on-premises data warehouses to new platforms
  • Ensuring data observability and optimal performance of cloud data warehouses

Requirements for Success:

  • Proven, significant experience with AWS Redshift development and administration, and other AWS components such as S3, IAM, AWS Glue, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail
  • Preferable additional experience with Azure Synapse
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, including data modelling, ETL processes, and dimensional or data vault modelling
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with database optimisation techniques
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python
  • Preferable experience with Terraform, Synapse, DBT, and Airflow
