About Our Ecosystem Security (ECOSEC) Team

Our ECOSEC team is dedicated to providing a safer experience for Epic's users, enhancing technology across multiple products and services, and crafting transparent policies to ensure positive experiences on our platforms.

What You'll Do

As a Data Analyst in the Ecosystem Security team, you will contribute significantly to improving the online experience for both our developers and players. This role is perfect for those with a strong gaming passion and analytical skills. The primary objectives include using data to combat cheating, fraud, or any ecosystem threats, thereby enhancing product quality.

In this role, you will:

  • Build a deep understanding of our products and become the expert on all analytics data collected.
  • Work closely with engineers to define requirements for analytics events capture.
  • Develop robust ETL processes to transform data into a form useful for analysis and dashboarding.
  • Perform in-depth analysis and provide insights to executives, development teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Document requirements and develop both written reports with analysis and real-time dashboards.
  • Collaborate with publishing and design teams to document hypotheses and questions that need validation or answers.
  • Ensure the quality of data derived from our products.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience as an analyst.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Tableau.
  • Experience with creating ETL processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong passion for video games and analytics.
  • A preference for applicants with experience in machine learning, Snowflake, or Go.
