Position: Senior Data Analyst

Purpose of the Role:

The Senior Data Analyst will report to a Project Management/Scrum Master lead and collaborate closely with Scrum Masters and team members. The main responsibilities include:

• Gathering and analyzing raw data from various sources like databases, spreadsheets, and external systems.
• Utilizing SQL for in-depth structured and unstructured data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, generating actionable insights.
• Ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistency through data cleaning, quality checks, and preparation.
• Supporting cross-functional agile teams by understanding their data requirements and providing data-driven recommendations.
• Conducting ad hoc analysis to address specific business questions or concerns.
• Enhancing and expanding reports for actionable data and comprehensive analysis.
• Creating visually appealing, content-rich, consumer-centric reports and dashboards using Business Intelligence tools like Power BI.
• Keeping abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analysis and BI tools.

Key Responsibilities:

In this pivotal role, you will:

• Work alongside Scrum Masters to develop insightful dashboards and reports.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify essential project metrics.
• Track and manage project controls including risks, impediments, and dependencies.
• Generate, analyze, and report on project metrics.
• Coordinate efforts among product management, development, QA, deployment, and production teams.
• Contribute to the enhancement of Scrum Master/Project Management practices through process improvements and active collaboration within the team.

About the Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have:

• A bachelor's degree in an analytics-related field such as statistics, mathematics, information systems, computer science, finance, business management, or economics.
• At least 2 years of professional experience as a data analyst and a minimum of 5 years in related fields.
• A track record of delivering end-to-end analytics projects from initial concept to impactful business outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collect requirements and convey data findings across diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and familiarity with agile software development cycles.
• A strong team player mindset with a collaborative approach and eagerness to learn new systems/processes.
