Compensation: Base salary of $85,500.00 - $128,300.00, with potential additional compensation incentives.

Job Description

The mission of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (AJC) is to be the most essential and engaging source of news and information for the people of Atlanta, Georgia, and the South. To achieve this, we are transforming from a storied daily newspaper into a modern media company. The Senior Data Analyst will play a crucial role in this transformation by:

  • Collaborating with the Product team to execute A/B tests, ensuring precise tagging and tracking.
  • Turning raw data into actionable insights through automated reporting and visualizations.
  • Communicating insights to stakeholders via presentations or report usage trainings.
  • Ensuring accurate tagging and tracking for comprehensive product insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deep understanding of the digital media industry and AJC’s digital content offerings.
  • Manage and execute projects, including data gathering, synthesis, modeling, and communication of insights and recommendations.
  • Work with complex datasets across multiple systems and departments.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to capture reporting requirements and provide business insights.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that communicate KPIs and trends.
  • Assist in the design and reporting of A/B tests, ensuring proper tagging and tracking.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline plus 4 years’ experience in data analysis, or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience utilizing Google Analytics data.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and cloud computing tools such as AWS S3, Redshift, GCP, Big Query, and Snowflake.
  • Experience in developing automated dashboards, preferably with Power BI or Tableau.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with product teams and developers.
