Job Description

We are seeking a proactive (Senior) Data Engineer (all genders) to join our Business Intelligence team. Your role will be to support internal stakeholders by building and maintaining data pipelines and ingestions, as well as developing a shared data platform used for reporting and making data-driven business decisions across the organization.

  • Handle technical maintenance and development of the reporting data warehouse and data lake, including pipeline architecture decisions, integration and testing of new technologies
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and translate business requests into technical specifications
  • Actively assist the Business Intelligence, Finance, Controlling, Marketing, and Sales teams with data-related inquiries
  • Contribute to analyzing and improving products available on 2.5+ billion devices worldwide

Qualifications

  • Completion of university or college studies in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, or related field
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the Big Data field
  • An ability to work with AWS cloud solutions; experience with Azure cloud, especially in the Synapse environment, is beneficial. Knowledge of GCP is also helpful
  • Strong programming skills in Python and comprehensive SQL proficiency; familiarity with Scala is a bonus, as well as knowledge of Meltano
  • Understanding of Docker, Airflow, and DBT, coupled with experience in maintaining Data Warehouse and Data Lake solutions such as Redshift and other AWS services
  • Excellent communication skills, with the capability to engage with stakeholders and provide technical mentoring to less technically-oriented individuals
  • English fluency is required, and proficiency in additional languages is an advantage
