Overview & Responsibilities

We are seeking a passionate Senior Data Engineer to optimize and expand our Studio’s data and data pipeline architecture for the Global Analytics and Data Science team. This role involves monitoring backend infrastructure and automating data processes.

• Build and maintain an efficient data pipeline architecture.
• Assemble large, complex data sets to meet business requirements.
• Adapt infrastructure to accommodate new data sources.
• Implement internal process improvements for scalability.
• Run infrastructure for optimal ETL processes.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical partners on data-related technical issues.
• Strive for data accuracy and functionality within the team’s systems.
• Create user documentation for infrastructure and automation projects.

Basic Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

• 3+ years in Data Engineering roles.
• Experience in data engineering, complex data technologies, and cloud computing platforms.
• A STEM degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, etc.
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, GitHub, Apache Airflow, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Databricks.
• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and/or AWS.
• Expertise in SQL, query authoring, and relational databases.
• Experience in building and optimizing data pipelines and datasets.
• Capability to monitor backend infrastructure health.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Superb attention to detail.

Additional Qualifications

Preferred candidates will also have:

• Experience in iterative agile environments and matrix organizational structures.
• Proficiency with monitoring tools such as Grafana.
• Experience with data warehouses like Google BigQuery and Snowflake.
• Experience with open-source automation servers like Jenkins.
• A passion for continuous learning and innovation.

Additional Information

Hiring Salary Range: $138,500.00 - 157,000.00

This range applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington State, and most other geographies. Pay depends on various factors including location, experience, and education. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability benefits, tuition assistance, PTO, and more. This position is bonus eligible.
