Job Role: Senior Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Data Engineer at Velotio, your responsibilities will include:

• Building and managing robust data pipelines utilizing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub.
• Developing scalable data models to support operational and analytical reporting needs.
• Ensuring the delivery of high-quality code and implementing process improvements by automating manual tasks and optimizing data systems.
• Collaborating with various teams to understand data requirements and integrating effective solutions to promote a data-driven culture.
• Effectively communicating technical details to the data team and contributing to our data governance and documentation efforts.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in SQL and programming languages like Java or Python.
• Strong expertise in data modeling and familiarity with data orchestration tools, such as Airflow.
• Proven experience with GCP data engineering services including BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Composer.
• A solid understanding of both relational and non-relational databases.
• Knowledge of DevOps methodologies.

Desired Skills:

• Experience in handling SAP data and integrating it with cloud-based data solutions.
• Exposure to data warehousing, big data technologies, and machine learning frameworks.
