About the Role
We are seeking multiple Senior Data Engineers to join our team of healthcare analytics experts. In this role, you will develop data products tailored to our diverse customer needs. The ideal candidate will possess advanced skills in data structuring and modeling to meet reporting performance objectives and support a wide range of team needs with minimal data duplication. As part of our team, you'll design extensible data architecture that aligns with our mission of enhancing healthcare delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain data pipelines using ETL and ELT processes.
- Consolidate requirements to develop reusable data products.
- Collaborate with product management and analysts to optimize performance.
- Develop actionable visualizations for end-user self-service analytics.
- Integrate data from various healthcare domains (encounters, conditions, orders, payments) to support outcomes research and analysis.
- Build tools to capture and display operational metrics for pipeline efficiency.
- Ensure data privacy and adhere to security requirements.
- Continuously improve functionality and identify optimization opportunities.
Core Qualifications
- Advanced SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases.
- Expertise in building and optimizing data architectures and data sets.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (OAC, Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik, Looker).
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, R, Scala).
- Minimum of 5+ years in a Data Engineer role and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of healthcare data domains (Claims, EHR, PBM).
- Experience with data transformation, metadata management, and workload management.
- Proven ability to perform root cause analysis on data and processes.
- Comfortable working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with structured SDLC environments (Agile, Waterfall).
- Familiarity with source control systems, issue tracking, and development metrics.
