Clarity is in search of a Engineer III for our Tech team. If you’re a Software/Data Engineer, skilled in 's , thrive on solving complex issues through coding, enjoy developing and aren't averse to learning new things, we want you.

You'll be an essential part of the team delivering various aspects of our production-ready product, while co-designing and implementing an architecture that can scale up with the product and the company.

Location: This job can be located anywhere within Europe or remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will assist in building a data platform enabling other teams to independently access high-quality data while performing data operations to support their daily tasks.
• You'll be part of the data engineering team in charge of establishing models, techniques and systems to aid the data lifecycle.
• You'll contribute towards designing and creating all aspects of our growing set of external and internal data pipelines, comprehend the issues, and tie them back to data engineering solutions.
• Your responsibility will include designing and establishing our ETL's.
• You'll convert raw data from various sources (batch and near-real-time) into intuitive data models, using a variety of tools (like Spark, Hadoop, Redshift, Kafka, etc.) to construct robust, high-quality data pipelines in a scalable manner (regarding volume and maintainability).
• To develop features and product features, you'll be part of cross-functional squads, collaborating with many different teams.
• Work closely with Platform, Data Science and Backend teams, along with product and tech teams.
• Resolve, troubleshoot and rectify bugs and issues

Requirements

• You possess 7+ years of professional experience as a Software Developer/Data Engineer, and have a degree in a quantitative field (CS, Engineering, Math, Physics, … ).
• You've constructed production data pipelines in the cloud, set up data-lake and server-less solutions; additionally, you have hands-on experience in schema designing and data modelling.
• Proven proficiency in Python is mandatory; knowledge of Java/Scala is a bonus.
• You possess strong SQL skills and are knowledgeable and comfortable with other distributed data stores such as Redis, ElasticSearch, Druid, Cassandra, Hbase.
• You are comfortable working with containerized cloud developments and are familiar with the integration of public and private APIs.
• Strong communication skills. The ideal candidate can flourish in an environment of asynchronous communication since a portion of the Clarity team will be based remotely.
• Willingness to try new technologies and programming languages.
• Proficiency in English

Additional useful skills:

• Experience in a rapidly growing SaaS business would be favorable but not necessary.
• Experience in the financial sector or regulated markets would be beneficial.
• Familiarity with other technologies / frameworks (Spring Boot, Jersey, Play, etc.) would be a plus.
