Position Overview

Are you adept in SQL, Python, and AWS? We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to enhance our data operations and propel our business forward. If you have a passion for data and excel in creating innovative solutions, your skills are needed to help us transform raw data into vital business insights.

Key Responsibilities

As a Sr Data Engineer, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced data pipelines and ETL processes within an AWS environment.
• Architect and optimize our data warehousing solutions to ensure exceptional performance and reliability.
• Work closely with data scientists and analysts to translate business needs into robust technical systems.
• Maintain and improve the performance of existing data architectures to reduce latency and enhance data processing capabilities.
• Uphold high standards of data integrity, quality, and security across all platforms and systems.
• Resolve data-related technical issues swiftly and proficiently.
• Keep abreast of the latest industry trends in data engineering, proposing and integrating cutting-edge technology and approaches as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in data engineering, specializing in SQL, Python, and data warehousing.
• Expertise in sophisticated SQL query writing, performance optimization, and Python for automation and data manipulation.
• Practical experience with key AWS data services like Redshift, Lambda, Glue, and S3.
• Proficiency in using Git for version control.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with big data frameworks (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).
• Familiarity with machine learning techniques and frameworks.
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Developer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
• Knowledge of DevOps, continuous integration and deployment, and agile methodologies.

Working Conditions

This full-time role primarily operates in a professional office environment and requires standard physical demands associated with office settings. Expect a regular schedule of Monday to Friday with occasional adjustments as required.
