Position Overview:

As a Senior Data Engineer at Molson Coors, you will be essential in maintaining and crafting optimal data pipeline architecture to support significant, complex data sets tailored for business needs. With multiple positions open, we are looking for engineers who can streamline data integration standards, drive innovative project solutions, and utilize new technologies effectively.

You will be working closely with the company's functional leaders to define and implement data solutions that address pressing business needs. Key responsibilities include building the necessary infrastructure for data extraction, transformation, and loading from various sources such as Teradata, Salesforce, and different SQL sources to 'big data' technologies in ADLS Gen 2.

In this role, you will also create advanced analytics tools to drive actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and overall business performance. A vested interest in identifying areas for internal improvement, optimizing data delivery, and overseeing solutions brought forth by internal and external contributors will be crucial.

Requirements:

To qualify for this pivotal role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in a data engineering or related occupation.
  • Profound knowledge and expertise in ETL tools such as Informatica IICS, Informatica DEI/BDM, and Business Objects Data Services (BODS).
  • Proficiency in object-oriented or object function scripting languages including Python, Java, C++, and Scala.
  • Extensive experience with big data tools, including Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
  • Familiarity with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including SQL Server, ADLS, and Postgres.
  • Skills in managing data pipelines and workflows using Airflow, Azkaban, or Luigi.
  • Capable of utilizing stream-processing systems such as Spark-Streaming or STORM.

Candidates might have the flexibility to telecommute up to two days per week.
