About the Role:

Join Extend's Risk Analytics team as a Senior Data Scientist and take ownership of claims analytics and monitoring, playing a crucial role in our scaling efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the analytics for claims operations and enhance post-purchase product features.
• Develop actionable tools for monitoring and optimizing claim and servicing products and policies.
• Collaborate with teams across Analytics, Operations, Product, and Engineering to refine claim processing and fulfillment for improved customer experiences and reduced costs.
• Engage with senior leadership to manage claims operations through strategic analysis, data insights, and the development of data pipelines and dashboards.
• Contribute to risk analytics by modeling and forecasting the impact of claims operations on insurance profitability.

What We're Looking For:

• A dynamic data scientist with entrepreneurial spirit, analytical expertise, creative problem-solving skills, and initiative.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present data insights across the organization.
• At least 4 years of professional experience as a data analyst, with a minimum of 2 years in risk, operations, or claims analytics.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python/R; experience in operations or product teams is a plus.
• A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a relevant field.
• A team player with empathy and humility.

Estimated Pay Range: $125,000-$140,000 per year, salaried.
