Why this role As a technology-focused innovator in the vacation rental sector, Evolve is professionalizing the field by employing data science to seize opportunities within the vacation rental market. Our projects aim to revolutionize how guests engage with vacation rentals and how homeowners optimize rental income. As a member of the core data science team, your role will involve constructing machine learning products using a blend of modeling, software engineering, analytical research, and data strategy to reshape how a business field operates. What you'll do - Construct, deploy, and monitor machine learning algorithms with long-term business impact - Develop software to enable reliable implementation and monitoring of new models - Develop endpoints facilitating other services' interaction with model predictions - Use retrospective statistical techniques to improve domain knowledge - Work closely with cross-functional leaders to understand domain, challenge existing assumptions, and develop data product roadmaps - Effectively communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders - Utilize internal and external experimental capabilities to gauge the impact of new solutions - Enhance continuous improvement in the data science team by sharing lessons learned and providing feedback on other challenging projects across the company - Innovate current strategies by researching and implementing techniques from world-leading data science teams outside of Evolve What makes you a great fit - 5+ years of data science-related work - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related quantitative field. Masters or PhD preferred - Solid programming experience with Python and SQL, ideally within a full-stack machine learning setting - Understanding of software development to produce high quality, well-documented, and thoroughly tested production code - Proven history of business results from models you transitioned from prototype to production - Experience working in a cooperative environment and effectively communicating with a range of stakeholders Location Evolve has a flexible working environment allowing team members to work remotely anywhere in Colorado, in our beautiful downtown Denver office, or a combination of both! Compensation Our salary range for this role is $138,000 to $169,500, based on relevant experience. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus, contingent on company and individual performance.
