Your Mission as a Senior Engineer, Threat Response:

We are seeking a skilled and driven engineer to build and maintain user-facing online features, specifically supporting our anti-cheat initiatives. You will oversee the complete lifecycle of development, from configuration and scripting to deployment and maintenance. Your ability to navigate existing code bases and produce high-performing, scalable code will be crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement, debug, and optimize online-facing game features using C/C++ and other programming languages.
  • Develop, extend, and maintain backend scripts in Python.
  • Optimize and maintain existing server-side code.
  • Build server-side systems for anomaly detection to monitor and investigate threats targeting our games and players.
  • Create scalable machine learning models to detect and contextualize disruptive behavior.
  • Generate and communicate results to both technical and non-technical team members through tracking systems and performance reports.

Player Profile:

Experience & Skills:

  • Proficiency in C/C++ and scripting languages, especially Python.
  • Knowledge of database concepts and experience with writing queries or stored procedures.
  • Experience shipping or supporting 1+ game titles.
  • Familiarity with web frameworks such as Flask, Bootstrap, React, or Node.
  • Understanding of network protocols, client/server, and peer-to-peer architectures.

Educational Background:

  • PhD in Computer Science or a related field, preferably with an emphasis on Networking or Games.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, performance, and multi-threaded programming techniques.
  • Proficiency in machine learning, especially for behavioral anomaly detection.
  • Outstanding ability to collaborate with engineers, designers, and producers.
  • Strong passion for video games and a solid understanding of game systems as a player.
