About the Team

You will be joining a visionary team currently developing a new suite of features within Canva's visual workspace. Our mission? To simplify complex processes and enhance existing features, making a significant impact on the market and Canva’s growth.

Our specialty in Machine Learning Engineering aims to personalize user experience on Canva by driving advanced machine learning initiatives at scale. From sophisticated user modeling that influences product decisions to automation of design tasks using ML, our team’s efforts enable users to navigate over 100M+ assets effortlessly.

Role Responsibilities

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, your daily tasks will vary from hypothesizing new data-driven features, engineering Machine Learning models, to performing statistical analysis:

• Develop and deploy ML models and features while managing full lifecycle of ML initiatives from data analysis to product deployment.
• Conduct both offline and online experiments to test hypotheses.
• Collaborate with an agile team consisting of data specialists, engineers, and product owners to discover business growth opportunities.
• Create robust data workflows and ensure seamless deployment to enhance user experience.

Who You Are

A prospective candidate should have a robust background in Machine Learning with proven experience in building and deploying models. Proficiency in Python and familiarity with technologies like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Kubernetes will be critical. You should also have a foundational understanding of Computer Science/Engineering principles and be adept at working within a team setting to translate complex technical details into practical applications.
