Your role: As a Senior MDM Engineer in our team, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing Master Data Management (MDM) solutions for state and federal government, healthcare systems, and health information exchanges. Your goal is to enable a secure, reliable, and connected healthcare infrastructure. You should be able to swiftly win the trust of critical stakeholders, lead teams, manage projects, resolve conflicts, deliver tough messages gracefully, and operate in situations of ambiguity with minimal information. Your responsibilities include: - Performing all functional aspects of an MDM implementation – installation, configuration, deployment. - Development and enhancement of cloud (AWS) native multi-tenant MDM setup. - Technical issue resolution. - Writing complex queries and data analysis. - Working with databases such as MS SQL, Oracle, DB2. - Writing scripts and applications in programming languages like Core Java, Python, Shell Script. - Defining the overall MDM solution, delivering guidelines, and ensuring compliance to the defined solution. - Bringing Industry and Domain Best Practices and Methodologies in Master Data Management. - Guiding clients to develop strategies for MDM implementation, governance, roll out, etc. - Using IBM Infosphere Master Data Management to create data models and UI definition. - Mentoring and developing junior team members. - Participating in business development efforts, contributing to proposals, interacting with potential customers and partners. - Becoming a subject matter expert in one or more of our products and services and understanding the applications of others. Requirements for the role: - 6+ years of relevant professional experience in large and complex data management projects. - Hands-on experience with IBM Infosphere Master Data Management or another MDM tool, IT Services and/or Consulting projects within a consulting organization. - Database engineering experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle DB or IBM DB2 and proficient in writing complex queries. - Experience in software development with Core Java, Python, Shell Script or any other programming language. - Knowledge of data profiling and analysis. - Scripting in Unix or a Windows environment. - Development experience supporting COTS product offerings, especially IBM products. - Intermediate experience in cloud technologies, familiarity with AWS or Azure, and ETL tools like IBM Data Stage. - Strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and vice versa. - Ability to occasionally adjust work schedule, and work evening/weekend hours to meet deadlines. - Preference for experience in DevOps, CI/CD integration, data modeling and mining, large-scale enterprise MDM implementation, HL7 messaging standard and enterprise application development in Java, EJB, Springboot. - Occasional travel may be required. - Ability to work independently and deliver a high quality of work with minimal supervision.
