Job Description Summary
Join Novartis as a Senior Principal Analyst Data Operations in our Scientific Data Pipeline (SDP) team. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing scientific data pipelines and optimizing data operations processes. This role involves collaboration with engineering, infrastructure, and data science teams to ensure seamless data operations.
Major Responsibilities
- Collaborate with infrastructure and engineering teams to develop efficient data operations processes.
- Work with CROs and data owners to define and operate data transfer, storage, and ingestion processes tailored to Biomedical Research's needs.
- Partner with data scientists and other stakeholders to develop or adjust data operations processes as per new requirements.
- Contribute to quality dashboards that report key metrics to stakeholders.
- Assist scientists in understanding and applying data-centric principles.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to data operations.
- Ensure compliance with data-related guidelines meeting research's data management needs and constraints.
Required Core Skills and Capabilities
This technical and process-oriented role demands a thorough understanding of biomedical research processes and the IT products supporting those processes. Key skills include:
- Expertise in data operations and ingestion practices.

Qualifications

- Strong technical skills in database management systems (e.g., SQL), data integration tools, data quality frameworks, scripting, and data modeling.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to derive insights and trends from data.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Technical expertise with cloud technologies (AWS, Google, or Azure).
Languages: English
