Join Our Team as a Senior Release Engineer, ML/AI

At Sumo Logic, we're seeking a talented Senior Release Engineer to join our Release Engineering team, dedicated to revolutionizing how our teams develop and manage our extensive, intricate products through innovative automated tooling solutions. This remote position is open to candidates across India.

Role Responsibilities:

You will play a pivotal role in:

• Leading the development and maintenance of the delivery pipeline and our release automation framework for all Sumo services.
• Collaborating and educating team members throughout the design and development phases, ensuring the adoption of best practices.
• Mentoring a dynamic team of engineers, enhancing their capabilities, and optimizing our software development processes.
• Conducting evaluations, testing and making technology and design recommendations to executive leadership.
• Authoring detailed design documents and managing comprehensive documentation on system designs and implementations.
• Guaranteeing that engineering teams are equipped to deliver high-quality software swiftly and reliably.
• Improving and maintaining the infrastructure and tooling for development, testing, and debugging.

What You’ll Need:

Our ideal candidate will have:

• A B.S. or M.S. in Computer Sciences or a related discipline.
• Proven technical proficiency including 3+ years in release automation, DevOps, and CI/CD environments.
• Solid experience in software development with at least 2 years in Python programming.
• Hands-on experience with ML toolkits like MLflow or wandb, and distributed compute/ETL tools including Airflow, Celery, Prefect.
• Familiarity with modern cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP), Infrastructure-as-Code, and tools such as Terraform.
• Strong understanding of DevSecOps security and compliance frameworks, GitOps, and ArgoCD workflows.
