In a world leaning towards energy transition, understanding the dynamics of thermal and metallurgical coal, iron ore, scrap, steel, and base metals is crucial. Our focus spans globally and regions such as Australia, Africa, India, China, Europe, and the Americas.

About the Role

We are seeking a Fundamentals Analyst who will cover the steel and steel raw materials markets, including ferrous scrap, metallurgical coal, manganese ore, and other raw materials.

Your Responsibilities

• Maintain and continuously refine monthly supply and demand balance sheets and price forecasts for various iron ore, ferrous scrap, and steel products.
• Contribute to monthly and weekly deliverables covering steel, iron ore, ferrous scrap, and other metals markets, in addition to bespoke consulting engagements.
• Be a leader in APAC on steel and steel raw materials through conference presentations, client presentations, and addressing customer queries.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in steel or steel raw materials industries and/or markets.
• Strong quantitative skills, with proficiency in MS Excel and VBA; knowledge of Python and PowerBI is advantageous.
• Exemplary written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to a high standard.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work both within a team and independently.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline preferred.
