About the Role

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is hiring a Senior Field Engineering Service Technical Analyst to support the esteemed E-4B Nightwatch team. This position is available at Offutt AFB, NE or San Antonio, TX.

The E-4B “Nightwatch” aircraft is a strategic command and control military aircraft operated by the United States Air Force (USAF). As a commercial derivative of the 747-200, it serves as a mobile command post for the National Command Authority. As part of our team, you will provide engineering support for the logistics activity of the Mission Assurance Team, ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of the E-4B fleet.

Position Responsibilities

• Lead analysis of information to evaluate reported discrepancies.
• Collaborate with engineering disciplines to influence improvements in product designs and operational criteria.
• Review manufacturing non-conformity data for potential impact to the in-service fleet.
• Initiate and monitor complex quality investigations and participate in developing solutions.
• Lead teams in conducting research on complex technical, maintenance, operational, and quality issues
• Review complex problems for potential safety issues.
• Develop in-service correspondence on complex multi-discipline systems for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Participate in complex accident or disabled product on-site surveys or investigations

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience)

• Bachelor’s degree or higher OR equivalent education/experience.
• 5+ years of experience in post-production sustainment support.
• Experience working with teams across multiple geographic locations.
• Strong analytical, collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
• 5+ years of experience in electronics equipment.
• 2+ years of experience in E-4B platform.
• Strong communication skills and customer focus.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience)

• Top Secret Clearance.
• Experience collaborating across multi-functional teams.
• Experience with U.S. Military government aviation and partnering with government customers.
• Knowledgeable in fiber optic repair.

Typical Education & Experience

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).
