LMI is actively seeking a talented Software Developer (Backend) with a minimum of a SECRET clearance and 2 years of experience. This is a 100% remote position with minimal travel, supporting an essential program for the US Army. The role entails developing and updating backend code for multiple Python-based applications, primarily supporting AI/ML solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and update backend code for multiple Python-based applications
- Write, design, and implement code using Python
- Develop and execute unit tests for product components
- Collaborate with a software development team using GitLab
- Meet with Army managers and representatives to discuss software issues and brainstorm solutions
- Write and update original code, ensuring all code meets program requirements
- Document and test your own code methodically
- Work both independently and as part of a team
- Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills
Percentage of Travel Required: 10%
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 2 years of Python development experience with web frameworks
- Experience with Django required, Flask is a plus
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Service-Oriented Architecture
- Experience in planning, analyzing, designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining software for an enterprise-level system
- Experience using industry guidelines and best practices, including Git, Agile methodologies, CI/CD, and automated deployments
- Active SECRET clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
- Knowledge of Node.js and JavaScript programming languages
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience developing applications for classified data
- Experience in integrating machine learning and analytical tools
- Knowledge of the Army software development process and technologies
- 5 years of directly related experience
