Key Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer at Meta, you will:

• Research, design, develop, and test software at the operating systems-level, including compilers and network distribution software tailored for analyzing massive social data and addressing prediction challenges.
• Work on various machine learning problems such as payment fraud detection, ad ranking, sentiment classification, and spam detection leveraging advanced ranking, classification, and recommendation systems.
• Develop scalable systems and algorithms, utilizing deep learning, data regression, and rule-based models.
• Operate in modern parallel environments like distributed clusters and GPUs, adapting standard machine learning methods to maximize their potential.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to code and deliver complex projects efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following:

• Hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Have at least two years of relevant experience, including direct experience with Machine Learning Frameworks such as PyTorch, MXNet, or TensorFlow.
• Possess strong competency in programming languages including C, C++, Java, and scripting languages like Python, Perl, or PHP.
• Experience with Hadoop, HBase, and other big data technologies, as well as familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Exhibit mastery in software development tools and systems, including Linux or UNIX.
