What You Get to Do
- Install and set up our logistics software at customer sites.
- Program software customizations and adapt configurations.
- Develop queries and reports by accessing our software’s SQL database.
- Organize, prepare, and test software both in the office (Kennesaw/Atlanta) and at customer sites.
- Engage in project-related work with customers, both onsite and in the office.
- Perform software engineering tasks to discuss processes and adapt interface software.
- Support the sales and project management teams.
- Collaborate with international departments (primarily in Europe).
- Support customers during the startup phase and provide training and support on software and logistics-related issues.
- Provide remote support to existing customers.
- Complete documentation and finalize projects for handover to the customer service department.
What You Have
- Proficiency in C++ or Java development.
- Experience with SQL and PL-SQL.
- Knowledge of the Linux environment and working in a mixed Linux and Windows setup.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, or Python.
- Solid understanding of network infrastructures and logistical workflows.
- Knowledge of current software development technologies and design patterns (OOA, UML, common patterns).
- Ability to create written workflows and process sequence diagrams, and to develop and implement them accordingly.
- Strong expertise in database development, process development, or UI/HMI development.
Working Conditions and Environment
- Willingness to work overtime as required.
- Travel requirements: 60 - 80% travel for customer site visits, or 20% travel if relocating or local to the customer site.
- Mandatory training at our Kennesaw, Georgia facility for the first 4-6 months of employment.
- Ability to travel domestically (US) and internationally (primarily Europe and Canada).
- Adherence to professional office etiquette.
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Possession of a passport or ability to obtain one.
- Physical requirements: extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, climbing ladders, speaking, visual acuity, finger dexterity, listening, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
