Due to its remarkable growth this year, we have a new role in our Risk Team, reporting to the Head of Risk. This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving FinTech company and contribute to our continued growth and success. The role covers both UK and EU operations of the company. Although the role is advertised at our Warsaw, Poland office, applicants based in Riga, Latvia are also welcome. Responsibilities include: - Promoting continuous improvement in the design and application of operational and related risk management activities. This includes conducting risk reviews of significant operational events to determine the fact pattern, and control gaps and working with relevant business lines and functions to implement remediation to avoid repeat events. Lessons learned should be shared to mitigate similar risks elsewhere. - Developing and maintaining models used to predict potential losses from various types of risks. - Contribute to and facilitate the incident management program. This includes contributing to the development of the operational and related incidents monitoring system and following up with incident owners on root cause analysis, remediation, and implementation plans. - Preparing reports documenting risk exposure and recommending solutions for reducing risk exposure. Role requirements: - Experience in Banking/Payments. - Proficient in data visualization with PowerBI or other similar programs. - High regard for integrity and confidentiality. - Technologically savvy (we use Google Docs, MS Office, and CRM). - Excellent communication skills in English and Russian, both written and oral. - Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines. - Good organizational and time management skills. - Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills. - Meticulous attention to detail. Desirable: - Experience with startup/scaleup businesses. - Knowledge of legislation related to EMI/PI activities. - Good level of R or Python coding.
